Supposed to show me where to go, but they're not doin' there job
They're only keeping me between the lines
But they're not keeping them off my mind, I've been driving way too long
So I stop for coffee and something to eat
A cigarette would be so sweet, but it's time for me to make a brand new start
Free myself from all confusion
Reassess my situation, it hurts to break a family apart

But it seems to happen everyday, no one ever cares
Take the road less traveled by, no one ever dares

How come it takes leaving to realize what you had?
A grip on life is taken from your hand
No choice but to hang your head or to make another choice instead

Decisions don't get easier the longer things go on
What you had seems crystal clear when what you have is gone
